Edu123 is an online career orientation programme in Moldova organized by “GAME ON - EDUCATION” NGO and funded by a grant from the United States Department of State. The goal of this project is to guide 50 children, between the ages of 14 to 15, and to lead them towards subjects, hobbies and passions they will be drawn to in their futures. By focusing on 5 specific areas, they will explore a range of topics, and be provided with valuable knowledge, to support them in choosing a career they will succeed in. This will be carried out and organized as online workshops to adhere to safety measures.
We will provide participants with workshops which will be covering the 5 following modules:
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about The History of Money; How currency works; How to set up a budget; Personal Money Management; Income, Taxes and Asset Protection; Investment Fundamentals; etc.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore topics about Business and Management Processes; Entrepreneurship in Moldova and its role in the country's economy; People & Networks; Customers & Competitors; Managing Finances; Marketing & Communication; etc.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about Pedagogy - Science of Education; Education in the contemporary society; The system of education in the Republic of Moldova: drawbacks and opportunities; Characteristics and educational importance of the student-teacher relation; Models of Teaching; Learning and Education; The Role and Characteristics of Effective Communication; Transformative Education - New Learning; etc.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore in more depth different areas related to Humanities and understand their connection to various careers. This module will cover topics such as Linguistics and Languages; Law and Politics; Visual Arts; History; etc.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about The Types of Programming Languages; The Difference between Front-End and Back-End Development; Information Technology vs. Computer Science; The importance of information technology nowadays and examples of IT; Careers in information technology; etc.
